Exciting ideas and responsible implementations!

We founded Ordinary Computing Co. in May 2024 with our flagship software Scorpio.

This project represents all of our experience, ambition, and eccentricity. Dedicated to transparency and trust, we're 100% open source. We hope you love using this just as much as we love building it.

About illustration

Our mission

We’re rethinking how digital identity works. By putting developers first and combining proven cryptographic principles with new approaches, we build practical, intuitive identity technology that challenges the status quo and makes secure digital systems easier to build and use.

  • Put developers first when designing identity technology.
  • Build on proven cryptography while embracing new approaches.
  • Make secure digital identity practical and accessible.

What we value

Developers First

We build the tools we would want to use ourselves, with developers and their needs at the center of every decision.

Keep It Useful

Technology should solve problems, not create more of them. We value simple, practical solutions that work in the real world.

Build on What Works

We don't reinvent things for the sake of it. We take what has proven itself and look for where it can be made better.

Do Good Engineering

We care about the details, understand the tradeoffs, and build things we can stand behind.
